PURPOSE: To miniaturize a device without complicating the process for production by forming a 3rd magnetic layer having an easy magnetization direction within the plane to the upper part of two-layered films consisting of a 1st magnetic layer having prpendicular magnetic anisotropy and a 2nd magnetic layer.
CONSTITUTION: A UV curing resin layer 2 is provided on a substrate 1. The following films are formed by sputtering thereon: The silicon nitride film 3 is first laminated. The magnetic film having a Curie temp. T1 as the 1st magnetic layer 4, the magnetic film having a Curie temp. T2(T2<T2) as the 2nd magnetic layer 5, and the magnetic film 6 as the 3rd magnetic layer are then respectively laminated. Finally, the silicon nitride film 7 is formed. The initialization of the 2nd magnetic layer is executed by the initializing magnetic field lower than heretofore is recording is executed by irradiating the magneto- optical recording medium 25 perfected in such a manner with light. The 3rd magnetic layer is easily produced by sputtering. Further, there is no need for separately preparing coils and permanent magnets from the outside, this medium is effective for miniturization of the device as well.
