Abstract:
PURPOSE:To hold a basic power factor always at 1 and to remove harmonic waves by supplying the high frequency voltage of the constant voltage value outputted from a circulating current type cycloconverter through a phase advancing capacitor and a power converter to a DC motor. CONSTITUTION:A circulating current type cycloconverter CC inputs AC voltage and generates a high frequency voltage of frequency f*C. A phase advancing capacitor CAP generates a high frequency reactive power for compensating the variation in the reactive power of a power receiving terminal. A high frequency voltage is supplied through a separately-excited converter SS to DC motors DCM1, DCM2. At this time, the cycloconverter CC controls so that the peak value VC of the high frequency coincides with the command value V*C, and the converter SS is controlled so that the output current IDC coincides with the command value I*DC.
