Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent positively the backrinding phenomenon, by controlling the vulcanizing temperature using heaters embedded in mating faces of a top force and a bottom force of a vulcanizing mold for a bulky and thick rubber article along the profile of the cavity outer circumferential surface.

CONSTITUTION: The mold 2 has the heaters 3 embedded along the profile of the outer circumferential surface of the cavity 4 in the mating faces of the top force 2A and the bottom force 2B. At a certain point during the operation of the vulcanization of the rubber-like material filled in the mold 2, a switch of a power source (S) for the heaters 3 is turned on to elevate the temperature of the rubber-like material, and after this state is held for a certain period to facilitate the vulcanization, the power source (S) is turned OFF to lower the temperature quickly to the original vulcanizing temperature, and thereafter the optimum vulcanizing temperature is held till the vulcanization is completed so that the desired rubber article is obtained.
