Title:
CODING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5971552
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To place a check digit into an information digit, by storing the information digit in an inputted code word to a storage circuit and storing succeedingly the check digit from a check digit generating circuit.

CONSTITUTION: Elements constituting check digits corresponding to a remainder produced by a division by a divider circuit 1 dividing a code polynomial to an inputted code word DAT by a generator polynomial where the check digit is set to zero, are stored in ROMR1WR6. A check digit generating circuit 2 consists of the ROMR1WR6 and an adder circuit Ex7 outputting the content of the ROMR1W R6 and adding it, by referencing the remainder producing the result of operation of the circuit 1. The information digit of the inputted code word DAT is selected by NAND gates N1WN3 of a code storage circuit 3, stored sequentially in an RAMR7, and the check digit from the circuit 2 is selected succeedingly by NAND gates N4WN6 and stored in the RAMR7.
