PURPOSE: To simplify the process of regeneration, while contriving to curtail expenses for a regenerating agent, by rapidly analyzing Na fraction in the mixture of ion-exchange resins inside a water-circulating column which has reached the terminal of water circulation, and reusing said column for the circulation of water without supplying a chemical agent to it in response to said Na fraction.
CONSTITUTION: In the apparatus for the desalination of type-ammonia condensed water constituted by a water-circulating system comprising a plurality of water- circulating columns 1W3 and regenerating systems 4, 5, the water-circulating column in which a quantitative yield or a pressure loss has reached a predetermined value is separated from the water-circulating system. Thereafter, the Na fraction of strong acid cation- exchange resin with respect to the mixture of ion-exchange resins sampled in a measuring hopper 12 is measured during the operation to remove clad in the regenerating column 4. If said value is below 0.003, said mixture of ion-exchange resins is backwashed only to remove the clad and poured as such into the water-circulating column without the supply of a chemical agent to it, to perform the treatment of condensed water. As a result, expenses for the regenerating agent and a chemical agent necessary for the neutralization of regenerating liquid waste can be curtailed, and the process of regeneration can be simplified.
