Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to drive a thyristor converter with an efficient voltage by commonly using the input transformer of the converter for starting a commercial power source of a motor. CONSTITUTION:A motor 11 is operated by controlling the electric power supplied from a power source bus 21 through a breaker 14, an input transformer 12 and a breaker 24 by a thyristor converter 13 to the prescribed voltage and frequency and supplying it through a breaker 15. When the converter 13 becomes defective, the converter 13 is disconnected from a system. The breaker 25 and a breaker 26 for switching the start are closed to start the motor 11 at the reduced voltage by an autotransformer 16. When the start by the reduced voltage is completed, the breaker 26 is opened, a normal operation switching breaker 27 is closed to perform the normal constant speed operation.
