PURPOSE: To provide the titled apparatus which delivers a copy image with a better reproducibility while not worsening the environment without the generation of ozone by providing an image carrier having a conductive layer, a thermoconductive layer, an insulation layer and the like in a specified order, a conductor and a heat generating body.

CONSTITUTION: A conductive layer 10a of the first layer comprising a metal thin film on the surface of a thermosensitive drum 10 is divided partitioned into three zones 10a1, 10a2 and 10a3 with insulators 10e1, 10e2 and 10e3. The second layer is made up of a first thermoconductive layer 10b comprising a thermosensitive material, a third layer of an adiabatic insulation layer 10c comprising a rubber thin film or the like and a fourth layer of a second thermoconductive layer 10d comprising material the same as the first thermoconductive layer 10b. In an image carrier 10 thus obtained by lamination thereof is heated with the first and second thermosensitive layers 10b and 10d are heated electrically energizing them to discharge an electric charge. The second conductive layer 10d is heated and caused to conduct applying a voltage to the first conductive layer 10b and insulation layer 10c and an image information is applied to the first conductive layer 10b.
