Abstract:

PURPOSE:To improve the acid resistance and adhesion of a coating layer and to make application and repair simple in wet electrolysis, by coating polyurethane rubber on the edge parts where deposition of metal is undesirable of the mother sheet to be used in a stage for producing the starting sheet. CONSTITUTION:The following are practised in producing a starting sheet for electrolytic refining by depositing metal on a mother sheet in wet electrolysis. Polyurethane rubber is coated on the edge parts of the mother sheet to be used for the production stage of the starting sheet wher the deposition of the metal is undesirable. As a result, the metal deposits only in the central part of the mother sheet and is peeled as two sheets. Such coating layer has resilience even after curing, improves acid resistance and adhesion and enables the simple application and repair similar to the application and repair of curable resins.
