Title:
HEATER FOR IGNITING PETROLEUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5824727
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ignite a wick easily by low power by evaporating petroleum once by means of one heater and catalytically igniting petroleum by means of another heater.

CONSTITUTION: The petroleum wick 10 is heated by means of the first heater 8 red-heated through conduction, and a petroleum evaporated gas is generated while the second heater 9, which consists of a catalytic alloy member and is red-heated through conduction, is mounted into the passage of said gas. The petroleum wick 10 is heated through the conduction of the first heater 8, petroleum is evaporated and the gas is generated. The gas rises, and contacts with the second heater 9. Since the second heater 9 is positioned into the gas passage and contacted only with the evaporated gas at that time, the heat quantity is not robbed by the petroleum wick 10, the temperature is elevated by self-heat generation and catalytic heat generation, and the wick 10 can easily be ignited.
