Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain an interchangeable application of cards between the financial and credit business worlds by providing the reading means for information of various transactions at both sides of a card transport path. CONSTITUTION:When a card containing different types of transaction information recorded on both sides reaches upper and lower magnetic heads 105A and 105B, these heads produce detection signals. These signals are sent to the 1st and 2nd magnetic stripe R/W circuits 408 and 409, and these circuits produce signals to give an interruption latch to an interruption latching circuit 405. The head information of the heads 105A and 105B are set to a data register 406 independently from each other. When the signal is latched to the circuit 405, a CPU401 turns on an operation guide display part. Then a customer selects his/ her desired transaction in accordance with the designation shown at the display part. The CPU401 receives the selection signal and then reads out the information on the desired head out of the register 406 to start a program.
