Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the backup device, by providing a multiplexer and a demultiplexer at the front and the rear stage of a backup device in common to plural main devices, and making the main devices redundant.
CONSTITUTION: The multiplexer 6 is provided to the front-stage of a single backup device 5 and the demultiplexer 7 is provided to the rear-stage. The device 5 is connected in parallel to main devices 1, 2...n via the multiplexers 6, 7 to form a redundancy system. A changeover switch 8 is a switch to be switched to the backup device with a computer 30 when any of the main devices 1, 2...n is failed. Thus, the time when the system is in operation with the backup device 5 is only a repair period of the failed main device.
