PURPOSE: To improve the sealing performance, storage performance, and liquid-leak resitivity of a nonaqueous electrolyte cell by welding the metal which possesses the corrosion resistance in a cell and the metal which is easily fused with glass in the state applied with lositive electrode potential and performing sealing by use of the hermetic terminal prepared by fusing the welded part and two kinds of metals in the vicinity of the welded part with glass.
CONSTITUTION: The metal 10B (metal B) which possesses the corrosiom resistance such as Ti, Ta, Mo, Al etc. and the metal 10A (metal A) which can be fused easily with glass 10C such as a copper covering wire etc. made of Fe-Ni-Co alloy called as covar or Fe-Ni alloy caled as dumet wire are welded in the state applied with positive electrode potential in a nonaqueous electrolyte cell, and a positive electrode terminal rod 10A is formed, and the welded part 10-AB and two kinds of metals 10-A and 10-B in the vicinity of the welded part are fused with glass, and a corrosionproof metal is connected to the positive electrode in the cell, and the outside positive electrode terminal is constituted from the metal having a superior sealing performance. In other words, metal A and metal B are welded integrally, and the metal A part is fused perfectly with glass, and thus high sealing degree is achieved in the cell, and the metal B develops the function as the positive electrode collector having a superior corrosion resistance.
