Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toners capable of reducing the contamination of a multiple- sheet electrostatic charging roller and the contamination of a drum.
SOLUTION: The toners used in the image forming method having a photoreceptor, electrostatic charging means for the photoreceptor, writing means for electrostatic latent image information, developing means for visualizing the electrostatic latent image, transfer means and fixing means are characterized in that the developing means is arranged with a developing blade for regulating the thickness of a toner layer so as to come into pressure contact with the surface of a toner carrying member, is uniformly coated with the toners on the surface of the toner carrying member and brings the toner carrying member into contact with the photoreceptor; the electrostatic charging means is an electrostatic charging roller having a conductive elastic layer; the ten point average surface roughness (Rz) of the electrostatic charging roller 10 is smaller than the number average diameter DI (μm) corresponding to the circle of the toners measured by a flow type particle image measuring instrument; the toners consist of toner particles containing a binder resin, coloring agents and release agent and fine inorganic powder for imparting hydrophobic properties; and a half band width of the DSC endothermic peak of the toners is ≤14°C.
