Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flow of toner from the toner supply port of a toner hopper by a simple structure.
SOLUTION: On a screw type carrying body 19 provided in the bottom of a toner hopper 12, two ribs are projectingly provided in radial directions so as to be opposed to a toner supply port 14. A shield part 30 is configured by connecting one side of each rib to a disc 32 formed on a carrying shaft 17 and the other to a spiral blade 18. Ordinarily the shield part 30 is positioned so as to cover the toner supply port 14 and shields the toner supply port 14 from entry of toner. When the toner is supplied to a developing device 11, the screw type carrying body 19 rotates, the toner supply port 14 is opened, and toner is consequently discharged.
