To provide a tool for decompression heat treatment which can prevent the stickiness of the tool for heat treatment to a material to be treated even in the case of performing a decompression heat treatment, and to provide a decompression heat treatment method using the tool.
The tool 1 for decompression heat treatment, which is used for supporting the material 8 to be treated when an iron-based material 8 to be treated is heat-treated under reduced pressure atmosphere reducing the pressure at lower than the atmospheric pressure, is composed of the iron-based material, and a film 2 composed of a remaining material during the heat treatment is formed at least on the surface in contact with the material 8. It is preferable that the film 2 contains a metal oxide having higher vaporizing temperature than the heat-treatment temperature under reduced pressure atmosphere, and also the film 2 contains alumina.
