Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a storage box under a seat even if an environmentally friendly unit swing type four-cycle engine is used by miniaturizing its whole body.
SOLUTION: A storage box 8 is mounted in a rear body under a seat, and a unit swing type engine involving a cylinder 11 which tilts forward under the rear body in a roughly horizontal condition is laid around a pivot 16 vertically oscillatably. A rear wheel 2 is journalled to the rear part of a swing case 14 extending rearward from one end of a crankcase, a carburetor 26 is connected to the upper surface of a cylinder head, and an air cleaner case 28 is longitudinally-mounted on the upper side of the swing case 14 in the cross direction of the engine. The air cleaner case is connected to the carburetor through an induction passage so that its maximum height may be equal to that of the bottom of the storage box 8. An exhaust passage 24 led out of the under surface of the cylinder head is connected to a muffler 25 mounted on the rear wheel side opposite to the swing case.
