Title:
TORQUE DETECTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3918367
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage by generating a signal in an instant to stop a motor or the like in the case of torque of a fixed value or more being applied.
SOLUTION: This torque detecting device is built-in in a geared motor or the like with a motor and a reduction gear connected, and generates a signal when torque of a fixed value of more is applied to a shaft. A helical gear 5 is machined at the shaft end of a motor shaft 4, and axial component force is generated in proportion to torque. An elastic body 15 is held adjacently to the outside of a bearing 3. In the case of torque exceeding the normal value, the motor shaft 4 axially moves to the left, and a flange part 9 of a rotating plate 10 axially moves to the left and pushes the tip of an operating piece 14 of a switch 13 to generate an electric signal to stop the motor or the like.
