Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque hinge or a torque limiter in which a diameter reduction and a diameter expansion of a single coil spring are properly utilized by a simple structure.SOLUTION: There are provided an outer cylinder member and an inner cylinder member that can be rotated to each other, and a coil spring arranged between an inner circumferential surface of the outer cylinder member and an outer circumferential surface of the inner cylinder member, the extremity end of the inner circumferential surface of the outer cylinder member is formed with a first circumferential surface part expanded in such a direction as one in which an inner diameter of the outer cylinder member is reduced, the rear end of the outer circumferential surface of the inner cylinder member is formed with a second circumferential surface expanding in such a direction as one in which an outer diameter of the inner cylinder member is expanded, the coil spring is press fitted into the first circumferential surface of the outer cylinder member and at the same time the second circumferential surface of the inner cylinder member is press fitted into the inner circumferential part of the coil spring, a torque value where a running torque of either the outer cylinder member or the inner cylinder member in an optional one direction is shut off is set through a press contact between the first circumferential surface and the outer circumferential part of the coil spring, and a torque value where a running torque of either the outer cylinder member or the inner cylinder member in an optional other direction is shut off is set through a press contact between the second circumferential surface and the inner circumferential part of the coil spring.
