To provide a torque limiter device capable of transmitting comparatively large torque while dispensing with power source in operation, and reducing harmful effects such as generation of frictional heat and operation sound.

A torque limiter includes a first rotating member (2) engaged with an elastic member (4), a second rotating member (3) engaged with an elastic member (5), and a rolling member (6) having a circular cross-section. The first and second rotating members are rotatable relatively to each other, both elastic members are opposed to each other with a uniform clearance gap, and the rolling member (6) is disposed in the clearance gap. The diameter of the rolling member is more than the width of the clearance gap, and settling portions (4a), (5a) corresponding to the excess amount, are disposed on an opposed face side of the elastic members.
