Title:
TORQUE TESTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3413475
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate a bearing more accurately by separating the output frequency band of a torque sensor through a filter into a plurality of desired bands thereby decomposing the torque of the outer and inner rings of the bearing into a spike-like fluctuation component and a swelling fluctuation component.
SOLUTION: Any one of the outer or inner ring of an object (bearing) 100 is turned by imparting a torque through a motor 109 and a torque generated on the other side is detected by means of a load cell 110. A low-pass filter LFP 1 and a high-pass filer HPF 2 are connected in parallel with the load cell 110 in order to discriminates between the low frequency component and the high frequency component of the output torque from the load cell 110. Subsequently, they are amplified, respectively, through amplifiers 3, 4 and recorded in recorders 5, 6 respectively. In this regard, only a swelling fluctuation due to rotational run out is recorded for the output from the LPF 1 and a spike-like fluctuation due to finish accuracy of the bearing race surface is recorded for the output from the HPF 2. According to the attangement, factors of torque fluctuation can be processed and evaluated individually.
