To provide a touch panel and a method for manufacturing the same, inexpensively and stably reducing a width of an area where signal wiring lines are formed.
In the touch panel, a transparent substrate 13 is injection molded, grooves 22 each having a narrow width HW can be stably formed in the frame area H at narrow intervals K with high accuracy, and the signal wiring lines 16 can be formed in the grooves 22. As shown in Fig.12, a signal wiring line 16A having a width W and a thickness T is formed in a substrate 10B in a conventional art, while the width HW of the signal wiring line 16 and the interval K between the signal wiring lines 16 can be reduced in the touch panel. As a result, the width of the frame area H where the plurality of signal wiring lines 16 are formed can be reduced.
