To provide a tracheoesophageal prosthesis detainment device that is safe and easy to introduce and detain at the tracheoesophageal wall of a patient following the tracheoesophageal shunt method, with a small burden placed on the patient.
The tracheoesophageal prosthesis detainment device includes a puncture means having a needle 11 inserted through an endoscope forceps bore mainly via nasal or oral cavity and puncturing the bronchi side from the esophagus side to form a cavity on the tracheoesophageal wall, a coat means (a protective tube 3) interpolating the puncture needle starting from its leading end in the way that the needle may appear and disappear, an expansion means (a dilator 6) to expand the fistula formed, and an introduction means (guide wire 4) in which a prosthesis 5 is introduced and detained at the cavity expanded by the dilator, and the prosthesis is installed at the rear end so that the prosthesis may be severable from the system. Both the puncture means and the introduction means may be formed in one as a flexible wire 7 provided with a puncture needle.
