Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect a train position correctly by providing a loop coil group added while keeping specified spaces from one another between rails, and providing a transmitter group for outputting signals to respective loop coils excluding the loop coil on one end side, and a receiver for receiving a signal from the loop coil on one end side.
CONSTITUTION: When a train approaches a track circuit 1T and a head of the train reaches a loop coil L11, the rails r, r of this part are short-circuited by the axles of the train, and signal level of a transmitter S11 in a receiver R1 is lowered. A track relay 11 of the receiver R1 thereby falls, so that entry of the train into a block section 1T is detected, and a head position of the train is detected to be in a installed position of the loop coil L11. When a head of the train enters loop coils L12→L13→L14, in this order, a receive level in the receiver R1 from transmitters S12-S14 is lowered in the same way, and a track relay corresponding to each loop coil is actuated to detect the head position of the train.
