PURPOSE: To lower the rate of occurrence of a leaf burr by setting a winding roll at a position whereat a base film of a transfer sheet can be exfoliated while an angle formed by the surface of the film and a transfer surface is kept small on the occasion of exfoliation.

CONSTITUTION: A winding roll 8 is a mechanism which winds up a base film 7 on which a part of a transfer layer 12 to be transferred is transferred under a heat and a pressure by a transfer roll 9 and which is exfoliated, and the direction of winding of the base film is varied by adjusting the position thereof. The position of the winding roll 8 is set so that an angle of exfoliation, e.g., an angle formed by the surface of the exfoliated base film 7 and a transfer surface 5, be kept at 0 to 30° on the occasion of the exfoliation of the base film 7, for a time from the start of the exfoliation to the end of the exfoliation of the entire part 10 to be transferred. The exfoliation is conducted in parallel with the rotating movement of the transfer surface 5. In any moment until the exfoliation is completed to the rear end of the transfer surface 5, the exfoliation is executed so that the angle formed by the surface of the base film 7 and the transfer surface 5 is less than 30° or preferably approximate to 0°.
