To enable a person to easily transfer from a bed and a wheelchair, etc.
An assisting machine body 3 includes a support member 4 for supporting a care-receiver HU to get on a bed B, etc., in a horizontally- projecting cantilever state. An endless belt 10 with a width for placing the hips H of the sitting-state care-receiver HU is trained over a main roller 7 and first idle rollers 8, 8 which are arranged at the proximal and of the support member, and over the support member 4 and a first round bar 9 at the distal end of the support member. The main roller 7 is rotated at low speed and, then, the endless belt 10 is horizontally moved while extending/contracting a contact area with the hips H without relatively moving the contact position in a state where the belt is brought into contact with the hips H of the care- receiver HU. The endless belt 10 enters a part between the hips H and a sheet on the bed in a state without contact resistance between the hips H and the endless belt 10.
