Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a toner image from an imaging medium to an intermediate medium having a surface layer.
SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a heating device 17 in which an intermediate medium 12 is brought into contact with an imaging medium 1 in a first transfer region to heat a toner image on the intermediate medium 12, a bias device 22 which is brought into contact with the intermediate medium 12 in a second transfer region, and a transfer device to carry the image accepting material through the second transfer region. The surface layer of the medium 12 contains perfluoropolyether rubber.
