Abstract:

To improve common mode noise rejection performance with degree of balance of installation maintained, in a transformer for communication which is used for LAN apparatus or the like.

The transformer for communication is equipped with a magnetic core 1, a plurality of coils 2, 3 for transmission wound around the core 1, and an additional coil 4 which does not contribute to transmission rolled about so that it might be located between a plurality of the coils 2 and 3. Configuration which carries out electric connection of a middle point of lengthwise direction of the additional coil 4 to a fixed potential is used, The middle point which is equilibrium point of impedance is grounded, so that, while the degree of balance of installation is maintained, parasitic capacitance between the coils 2 and 3 for transmission is reduced, thereby improving common mode noise rejection performance.
