Abstract:

To obtain a transgenic rice plant or its cell capable of providing amylose-containing rice, namely, rice simultaneously satisfying low allergen and excellent flavor in spite of the absence of rice plant waxy protein being rice allergen.

This transgenic rice plant or its cell has a genome to which a DNA encoding a non-rice plant amylose synthase lowly allergic to a rice allergic subject is transferred and contains no rice plant waxy protein or its fragment.
