PURPOSE: To perform accurate translation while adopting a word according to the feeling of a speaker by analyzing a tone on the pitch, stress, and speed of an inputted voice and referring to this by means of a translation processing.
CONSTITUTION: A translation device 1 inputs a specific original language expression by means of a voice, converts this into the expression of an objective language, and a dictionary necessary for the translation is equipped with the format to be supplied by an IC card 3. In this translation device 1, the tones such as the pitch, stress, and speed are analyzed against the input voice of the original language expression, and the original language expression is converted into the expression of the objective language in consideration of this analysis result. Thus, the word according to the feeling of the speaker is adopted to perform accurate translation.
