Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture with good productivity a transmission belt excellent in dynamic adhesive property, having a compressive rubber layer and an adhesive rubber layer both vulcanization bonded to each other, with a polyester core wire bondingly buried into the adhesive rubber layer.
SOLUTION: An adhesive rubber layer and a compressive rubber layer are both made from a vulcanized ethylene-α-olefin-diene rubber blend and a core wire is subjected to bonding process using a resorcinol-formalin-latex adhesive composition and bondingly buried into the adhesive rubber layer. At least one kind selected from chlorosulfonated polyethylene and alkylated chlorosulfonated polyethylene constitutes 50 to 100 wt.% of the solid part of the latex in the resorcinol-formalin-latex adhesive composition.
