Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce moving operation force of a shifter shaft to be shifted while keeping advantage of clutchless transmission by the use of a ball clutch.
CONSTITUTION: Rollers 50a, 50b provided on a shifter shaft moving operation body 50 abut against a multistage cam surface of a fixed cam 49 for rotation. A shifter shaft 45 is moved to an axial position corresponding to height of the multistage cam surface. Any one of ball clutches 35, 36, 37 is brought into engagement by moving a projection 46 accompanied with the shifter shaft. Power is transmitted from transmission gears 38, 39, 40 to a transmission shaft 41. Operation power is reduced by moving the shifter shaft 45 through sliding contact between the rollers 50a, 50b and the multistage cam surface.
