Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of mutual interference with gears while the fastening force of fastening and fixing bolt members for two ring gears laid in parallel over a first shaft is being secured.
SOLUTION: In the transmission system of a four wheel drive vehicle equipped with a transverse type engine, a transmission disposed in series with the aforesaid engine, and with a front wheel axle 8 and a transfer shaft 15, which are disposed in parallel with the output shaft of the transmission, and also provided with an input ring gear 6 receiving driving force from the output shaft of the transmission over the front wheel axle, and with an output ring gear transferring the motive power of the front wheel to each rear wheel side, both the ring gears are formed out of helical gears having tooth traces inclined in the identical direction, and concurrently, the respective ring gears are individually fastened so as to be fixed to front differential cases 10A and 10B respectively with bolt members.
