Abstract:

To provide a communication terminal for raising convenience more when a user makes use of a short message service.

An SMS related table/ memory unit 142 of a memory unit 14 has a storing region for each SMSC unit. A telephone number of the SMSC, a program and a parameter of the communication protocol and the like are stored in each storing region. When a short message is transmitted, a user selects an SMSC unit, to which the user intends to transmit, throgh an input unit 14. Then, a control unit 19 refers to a storing region of the selected SMSC unit of the SMS related table/ memory unit 142, and dial call is carried out from a network control unit 10 on the basis of a telephone number, a communication protocol, and the like stored in the SMSC. After the line is established, previously formed short message data is transmitted to the SMSC unit.
