Abstract:

To provide a transmission that can reduce the cost of the transmission and the whole hybrid vehicle.

A transmission 1 includes a differential mechanism 13 including a parallel shaft type transmission 11, an intermediate gear train 12 and a planetary gear 33. The parallel shaft type transmission 11 includes a driving gear train 15 and an output gear train 16. The planetary gear 33 includes a sun gear 35 connected to an MG6; a carrier 37 connected to an engine 5 and the driving gear train 15; and a ring gear 36 connected to the intermediate gear train 12. A distance L2 between a driving shaft 29 of the intermediate gear train 12 and an output shaft 24 of the output gear train 16 is equal to a distance L1 between a driving shaft 17 of the driving gear train 15 and the output shaft 24. The gear ratio of the planetary gear 33 is set to equalize the positive side maximum rotation speed and negative side maximum rotation speed of the MG6 in shifting between the predetermined gears.
