Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting/receiving system in which much more information can be transmitted on the same frequency band by solving a problem that a transmission information quantity can not be increased when a frequency band is limited in a transmitting apparatus for transmitting digital signals.
SOLUTION: The transmitting apparatus which transmits information relating to first and second data streams, comprises a scramble part for applying scramble processing to the second data stream, a first error-correcting encoding part for applying first error-correcting encoding processing to an output of the scramble part, an interleave part for applying interleave processing to an output of the first error-correcting encoding part, a second error-correcting encoding part for applying second error-correcting encoding processing to an output of the interleave part, a modulation part for modulating the first data stream to produce a first modulated signal and for modulating an output of the second error-correcting encoding part to produce a second modulated signal, and an inverse Fourier transform part for applying inverse Fourier transform to an output of the modulation part.
