PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive transparent conductivity-imparting composition whose surface resistivity can be arbitrary set, by homogenenously dissolving an alkyl-substituted 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane complex and a binder in a specified ratio in an organic solvent.
CONSTITUTION: An alkyl-substituted 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane complex (A) (e.g., N-n-butylisoquinolinium/methyl-7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimet-hane com plex) and a binder (B) (e.g., a polyester resin) are prepared. Components A and B in a weight ratio of 1:0.25W10 are dissolved in an organic solvent (e.g., toluene) to produce a transparent conductivity-imparting composition. This composition can impart conductivity to the surface of a substrate without detri ment to its transparency, and can be desirably used for imparting an antistatic property to a container for electronic devices, for preventing dust deposition in the printing industry or the like.
