PURPOSE: To reduce the number of required variable gain circuits by adding the outputs of taps and inputting the outputs to a common variable gain circuit when the gain of variable gain controlling circuits connected to respective taps is uniform.
CONSTITUTION: The titled transversal filter consists of delay elements d-n, d-(n-1) ∼d-1, d+1∼d+n, connected in series to a signal input terminal, addible variable gain circuits g0∼gn connected to these delay elements and an adder A0 connected to output terminals of respective variable gain circuits. If it is defined that the inputs of the elements d-n∼d-1 are S-n∼S-1, the outputs of the elements d+1 ∼d+n are S+1∼S+n and the output of the element d-1 is S0, these inputs and outputs are inputted to the circuit A0 through the circuits g0∼gn. Thus, the number of required variable gain circuits can be reduced and an LSI can be easily formed.
