To provide a trap that can prevent or reduce the leakage of liquid and gas by suppressing the dancing phenomenon of a float caused by vibration.
This trap is provided with a body 20 forming a float chamber 30 for storing liquid; a float 40 having a float body floating on the liquid level of the liquid in the float chamber 30; and a valve 36 opened/closed interlocked with the float 40. When a quantity of the liquid stored in the float chamber 30 becomes a fixed quantity or more, the valve 36 is opened to drain the liquid exceeding the fixed quantity. The float body 42 of the float 40 is provided with a cavity part 43 serving as a damper operating part positioned below a buoyancy point F of the float body 42 to perform damper operation using the liquid in the float chamber 30.
