Abstract:

To provide a new method for correctly calculating a travel distance of a moving body.

A travel distance calculation device intermittently measures position and travel direction of a moving body, and selects measurement positions at which the travel direction is changed while satisfying reference position selection conditions as reference positions, then calculates a cumulative travel distance by using distances between the reference positions and a distance from the latest reference position to the latest measurement position.
