To provide a treating method for fluorine-containing waste water by which fluorine concentration can be greatly reduced and sludge is hardly produced.
The treating method for the fluorine-containing waste water comprises following processes. (1) A process in which a calcium compound is added to the fluorine-containing waste water to produce calcium fluoride and then the calcium fluoride is removed to obtain first treated waste water with reduced fluorine concentration;(2) a process in which magnesium oxide powder is added to the first treated waste water to adsorb fluorine in the waste water onto the magnesium oxide powder;(3) a process in which fluorine adsorbed magnesium oxide powder and the waste water are separated to obtain second treated waste water with further reduced fluorine concentration;(4) a process in which the fluorine adsorbed magnesium oxide powder is dissolved in the fluorine-containing waste water before performing the process (1);(5) a process in which the fluorine-containing waste water dissolving the magnesium oxide powder is sent to the process (1).
