Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating or preventing an angiogenesis-related disease, such as angiogenesis-dependent cancers, benign tumors, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, ocular angiogenesis diseases, Osier-Webber Syndrome, myocardial angiogenesis, plaque neovascularization, telangiectasia, hemophiliac joints, angiofibroma, wound granulation, intestinal adhesions, atherosclerosis, scleroderma, hypertrophic scars, cat scratch disease and Helicobacter pylori ulcers.SOLUTION: The method comprises administering stem cells and/or progeny cells thereof, where the stem cells are stem cells obtained from bone marrow or mesenchymal precursor cells (MPCs), e.g., TNAP+, STRO-1+, VCAM-1+, THY-1+, STRO-2+, CD45+, CD146+, 3G5+ or any combination thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: None
