Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel triazolopyridine dye which is obtd. from 1,2,4- triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine deriv. having many tautomers and is suitable for ink ribbons and printing ink and for dyeing many substances.
SOLUTION: The triazolopyridine dye is represented by formula I [wherein R1 is optionally substd. 1-20C alkyl, phenyl, mercapto, etc.; Q is a group of formula II (wherein R2 is a 5- or 6-membered carbocycle or heterocycle optionally benzo-condensed; R3 is H or 1-4C alkyl; R4 is H, 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy; R5 is 1-8C alkyl, phenyl or the like, provided -CR3R4R5 may be 3-7C cycloalkyl; R6 is cyano, carbamoyl, benzothiazolo or the like; and E is CH or N); and R7 is O, cyano or an ether-bond-contg. group] and can be produced in the form of many tautomers. The dye wherein R1 in formula I is 12C or lower alkyl or the like, and R2 is one of the groups of formula II is esp. advantageous. The dye is synthesized by condensing R2-CHO, -NO, -NH2 or the like with a triazolopyridine of formula IVa or IVb.
