Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition containing a specific tricyclic compound and used for treatment of gynecomasia, prostatomegaly, endometrisis, estrogen-dependent cancer (e.g. mammary cancer and endometrial cencer), etc. CONSTITUTION: This pharmaceutical composition includes a compound of the formula [R<1> and R<2> are each a halogen, an alkyl, an alkoxy, an alkylthio, OH, CN, CF3 , NO2 , an (alkyl-substituted) amino, an NH acyl, carbonamide and an (esterified) carboxylate; R<3> is H, an alkyl, an alkoxyalkyl, an arylalkyl; R<4> is H, OH, an alkoxy, an arylalkoxy; (m) is 1 or 2; (n) is 2-4; Q is imidazolyl, triazolyl or pyridyl], e.g. cis-1-(2,3,3a, 4,5,6hexahydro-3amethyl-1H-henelen2- ylmethyl)1H-imidazole hydrochloride. The daily dose to a human is 1-500mg, preferably 50-250mg.
