Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the inversion of a tripped stepladder caused by closing bearing legs because of uplift performance of the bearing legs with the movement of the center of gravity by providing a leg closing prevention device in the opening and closing type tripped stepladder consisting of bearing legs and a ladder-like leg body.
SOLUTION: In a tripod stepladder 1 connecting a front side ladder-like leg body 2 to the upper ends of rear side bearing legs 3 with a joint section 4 in an openable manner, leg opening exceeding a set angle is prevented by a rope 7, and leg closing less than a specific angle is prevented by a leg closing prevention piece 10. The leg closing prevention piece 10 is formed in an L-shape of a vertical section borne in a turnable manner and a backward extension section having the tapered front end, and when leg opening exceeds a specific angle, it is turned to a leg closing prevention position with its dead weight to prevent the leg closing of the bearing legs 3, it is tuned and evacuated from the leg closing prevention position when the tripod stepladder 1 is inclined in the horizontal direction. The leg closing prevention piece 10 sets an angle of inclination of the ladder-like leg body 2 in 75°-80°. Accordingly, even if the bearing legs 3 are uplifted, since the leg opening is maintained, the inversion of the tripped stepladder 1 can be prevented by movement of the center of gravity.
