Abstract:
To cause no damage to a roll or the like by detecting the height of the roll correctly when it is put down on a roll stand, in a truck for the transfer of the roll equipped with a roll holding part supporting the roll and capable of moving up and down.
In the truck for the transfer of the roll equipped with the roll holding part capable of moving up and down, an elastic material is fitted between a vertically moving member and the holding part. A detector which detects the change of the length of the elastic material caused by the change of the load on the roll holding part is installed.
