PURPOSE: To provide a truss for an escalator which can standardize the design and manufacture of a truss and to increase the strength of a support part.

CONSTITUTION: A truss body 5 is composed of horizontal parts at opposite ends, and an inclined intermediate part, and a connection plate 9 is provided at an end part outside of the horizontal parts. A support part 7 is composed of upper frames 10, 10 at opposite ends of its upper part, cross frames 11, 11 between the upper frames 10, 10, lower frames 12, 12 at its lower part, a crossframe 13 between the lower frames 12, 12, longitudinal frames 14, 14 inclined between the upper and lower frames 10, 12, and connection plates 15, 15 at opposite sides of the end part remote from the longitudinal frames 14, 14, which are all welded together so as to integrally incorporated with each other.
