PURPOSE: To prevent splash from remaining in the place where a pipe is processed for edge preparation by allowing regular rotation for machining to be followed by a dropped speed with the spindle as well as advanced of the cutting device, and thereby removing the splash.
CONSTITUTION: Set to the rated revolving speed R1, a cutting device is advance quickly toward a work to be machined so as to attain a specific advance speed S1 at the time t1. Machining is carried out at this speed S1 for a certain period, and the advance speed is sunk to S2 at the time t2 to continue machining. When the machining is completed at the time t3, the advance speed is sunk to S3 with the spindle speed also dropped to R2, and operation is continued till a fixed time t5, for ex. for 2sec approximately. In this period, the splash will be removed. According to this construction, splash can be prevented from remaining in the place without any additional arrangement.
