Abstract:
To provide a performance evaluation method for a tuned mass damper capable of efficiently performing performance evaluation of the tuned mass damper on a building.SOLUTION: A performance evaluation method for a TMD 12 includes: an installation step of installing an oscillator 26 and an accelerometer 24 under installation on a building 16; a model acceleration calculation step of calculating a response to external power P such as a wind load acting on a building model 30 with a sum of a mass of the building 16 and a mass of a weight 14 defined as a mass to calculate a first model response acceleration A1 and a second model response acceleration A2; an oscillation step of generating an oscillation force F which is calculated from the first model response acceleration A1 and the mass of the weight 14, by the oscillator 26, and oscillating the building 16 and the weight 14; a detection step of detecting a building response acceleration A3 which is generated by oscillating the building 16 and the weight 14; and a performance evaluation step of evaluating the TMD 12 from an evaluation acceleration calculated by adding the building response acceleration A3 to the second model response acceleration A2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
