Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel fin capable of decreasing propeller vibratory force.
SOLUTION: In this tunnel fin device 5, the propeller side pressure receiving surface 5b of a rectifying fin 5a provided in the vicinity of the upper part of a propulsion propeller 3 disposed at the lower part of the overhang 1 of the stern of a ship is formed so as to take the form of a curved line like a tunnel, and water flow can be rectified and accelerated. Holes 6, 6, etc., are provided in the propeller side pressure receiving surface 5 of the rectifying fin 5. Thereby, the apparent area 5b of the propeller side pressure receiving surface 5b can be made small, and the vibratory force transmitted from the propulsion propeller 3 can be decreased.
