Abstract:
To provide systems and devices configured to cool turbine components in a turbine by passing a cooling flow throughout the turbine component via a cooling passage with a variable diameter.
In one embodiment, a turbine component includes: at least one elongated cooling passage 110 extending from a root 120 of the bucket 100 to a tip 132 of the bucket 100, where the elongated cooling passage 110 has a variable diameter along the length of the bucket 100.
